What maintenance is required from me for my new air conditioner?2021-07-12T15:17:52+00:00

At a minimum you need to clean and maintain your air conditioner’s air filters, as any build-up of dust or dirt will restrict airflow and reduce the energy efficiency and capacity of your system. Does an air-conditioning needs re-gassing? Re-gassing an air conditioner will never be necessary if it is installed correctly. However, if the pipe connections are not Flared (a type of compression fitting) properly or tightened to the correct torque, or if the pipes themselves degrade over time for some unforeseen reason, then they may leak, which is the most common cause of needing to re-gas an air conditioner. Terms such as ‘stale gas’ or ‘expired gas’ are not something that occurs in air conditioning units. If there is a gas leak in your air conditioning system it should be inspected by a qualified air conditioning technician.

What temp should I set up my aircon?2021-07-12T15:17:38+00:00

Everyone has a different level of comfort, but if you’re looking at it economically, around 24-26 degrees is on the mark. We’ve seen huge leaps in energy savings in air-conditioning in recent years and the technology going into the major brands is definitely saving customers money.

What should I do in advance to make sure my air conditioner runs efficiently this summer?2021-07-12T15:16:21+00:00

Having your Daikin air conditioner checked each year by a qualified service technician, like your Daikin Specialist Dealer, before the most extreme conditions of summer or winter set in is ideal for making sure your system will perform at its best. Aside from this, remembering to keep the air filter clean and the outdoor unit free of leaves and debris are essential for ensuring your Daikin system operates at full capacity throughout the peak seasons.

Why is necessary to service your aircon annually?2021-07-12T15:15:48+00:00

The Kimberley area– for obvious reasons – is a heavy use area for air-conditioners. To keep them running efficiently and effectively, you should be getting them looked at every 12 months. Most air-conditioners need a major service every two years, but depending on the use, it may be required sooner. A good thing to look for if you think yours may need a clean is a dead spot where air discharges from the indoor unit. This is a good indicator that your fan and coil are blocked.

How do I choose the right size air conditioner for my home?2021-07-12T15:15:13+00:00

The right air conditioner will make a big difference to both the energy consumption and experience of an environment. With a Daikin Specialist Dealer there to assist at every stage, they will assess all factors impacting on your indoor temperature and influencing your home’s heat load. Every home is different, and the right air conditioner will depend on many factors, such as room orientation, window size and ceiling insulation, just to name a few. It’s an important decision to get right, as an air conditioner that’s too small won’t adequately heat or cool your home, and one that’s too large will be inefficient and expensive to run. Your Daikin Specialist Dealer has the knowledge, skills and experience to help you make the right choice.

Why Choose Daikin?2021-07-12T15:14:24+00:00

The comfort of your family or business is a serious investment, and in considering a suitable air conditioning system ‘reliability’ is a key concern in the context of the often-harsh Australian climate. Daikin air conditioners are built to a premium standard, with strict quality control measures implemented. Our air conditioners are installed by Daikin Specialist Dealers, ensuring that our systems are implemented specifically and professionally to perform reliably and at their peak. Daikin further offers a 5-year warranty on all domestic products purchased and installed in Australia, as proof of our continued confidence in the quality and reliability of our systems.

What is the best brand for the North West?2015-09-28T04:14:48+00:00

With temperatures averaging in the mid 30’s, and high humidity levels, units need to be rated to around 40 degrees ambient to cope with the heat. Anything less simply won’t keep up. That’s why it’s best to stick to the major brands such as Daikin, Fujitsu, Toshiba and Mitsubishi (HI).
